A NIGHT WITH THE FOX

A NIGHT WITH THE FOX
DINNER DATE WITH FRIENDS OF KITSUNÉ Recently, there’s a particular kind of evening where the clothes, the food and the people all seem to belong together. That was the idea behind the Maison Kitsuné Fall/Winter 2026 collection launch. We skipped the runway and the formal presentation and set a long, candlelit dinner at Jalinan @ TTDI instead, with the new season worn by the people sitting around the table. Doors opened at 7pm, and the night carried on well past the last course. Walking In Guests were greeted by a wall dressed with a specially designed A3 poster for the dinner. It was a small detail, but it set the tone straight away: this was an evening made for Maison Kitsuné, not a generic event that happened to have the brand’s name on it. At the tables, everything followed the same thinking. Each setting had a branded table mat, a menu card and cutlery, with vases of fresh flowers and candles spread along the table for a warm, intimate glow. The one detail we love most is the chopsticks, engraved with the Profile Fox logo. It’s a quiet nod to the brand’s identity that guests only noticed once they sat down and picked them up, which is exactly how we like our Kitsuné moments: subtle, playful and a little unexpected. Styled Their Own Way The FW26 collection was presented by the guests themselves. Every KOL and media guest was given pieces from the new season to wear to the dinner, and no one was handed a look. The result was a room full of different takes on the same collection. Some guests went crisp and polished, some went relaxed and layered, and some mixed Kitsune pieces with their own favourites. That is what Maison Kitsuné does best: effortless, easy to wear, and never too serious. Watching it play out across one dinner table was more convincing than any lookbook. The Guests We were happy to host editors from Grazia, L’Officiel, Harper’s Bazaar and FirstClasse, who joined us to experience the collection and the night first-hand. Alongside them was a hand-picked group of KOLs: Red HongYi, Bay Doucet, Ridduan (TTFGA), Frank Lee, Azfar Herisyam, Wilson Lee, Nina Amin and more. We invited people who embody the Maison Kitsuné ideal of a KOL: a strong personal sense of style, a genuine voice and an audience that follows them for taste, not trends. When the right people wear the collection their own way, it feels natural, and that’s what we wanted the evening to feel like. The Menu: Kitsuné, Through a Malaysian Lens Maison Kitsuné brings together Parisian elegance and Japanese sensibility. For the dinner, the team at Jalinan took that spirit and filtered it through local flavours, creating a custom multi-course menu inspired by Kitsuné. Here’s how the evening unfolded. To start, the snacks. Guests were welcomed with a trio of bites. The Penang mussels and garlic scapes with wok-fried kuey teow came in a filo pastry tartlet. The urap ikan arrived on a bayam cracker, and the grilled mushroom and truffle sambal skewer was finished with shaved truffle. They were small, bold and a great conversation starter. Cold appetiser: Apple Kerabu. A fresh take on a Malaysian classic. Apples are dressed in fish sauce and paired with local herbs, vegetables and flowers, then finished with tempe tomato crumbs, dried salted shrimp and crispy flat rice noodles. It was bright, crunchy and fragrant, and a perfect way to wake up the palate. Hot appetiser: Dry-Aged Duck. The duck was grilled over charcoal until the skin turned crisp, then served with steamed eggplant, abura-age and an assam pedas gastrique. The sauce balanced the richness of the duck with a gentle tang and heat, and it was easily one of the night’s most talked-about plates. Main: Dry Laksa Ulam. Handmade noodles tossed in white laksa paste with a generous mix of local herbs, served with grilled golden pomfret. It was comforting and familiar but plated with real finesse. Dessert: Sui Cha Bor. Mango, white fungus and sago came with a coconut chrysanthemum cream. It was light, floral and refreshing, and a lovely close to the savoury courses. And a few sweets to finish. Fox chocolate bonbons (yes, the fox made it to dessert), pineapple jam doughnuts and raita ice cream rounded off the meal. The pineapple jam doughnuts felt like a nod to festive Malaysian treats, and the raita ice cream was an unexpected, playful twist. Every dish was rooted in local ingredients and technique, yet plated with the polish you’d expect from a Maison Kitsuné evening. A Camera on Every Table On each table sat a disposable camera, and guests were invited to capture the evening however they liked. There were no filters, no retakes and no perfect angles. Guests caught each other mid-laugh, mid-bite and mid-conversation, in their FW26 looks. A disposable camera has a nostalgia and an imperfection that fit the Kitsuné spirit well, and it turned the guests into co-authors of the night. Here are some glimpse of what happened that night! MAISON KITSUNÉ FALL-WINTER 2026
MAISON KITSUNÉ FALL-WINTER 26 COLLECTION | PARISIAN ADVENTURER FROM MAISON TO MOUNTAIN, A NEW EXPRESSION OF THE MAISON KITSUNÉ WARDROBE. Every city dweller longs to explore at some point. For Fall-Winter 2026, Maison Kitsuné ventures outside the city, with a collection that takes Paris to the wild mountains and forests. Our intrepid traveller, as ever, brings a little of their wandering back with them, mixing the natural world into their urban collage. This adventure furthers the Maison’s vision of a functional yet bold wardrobe. One that gives confidence to the Maison Kitsuné traveller through a mix of new ideas, quality, and a dedication to the art de vivre.  In the words of founders Gildas Loaëc and Masaya Kuroki, the driving force since day one is for Maison Kitsuné “ To be where we are least expected to be. ”  Just like a wild fox, the Maison’s mascot, that you unexpectedly glimpse gliding through the city streets. A combination of natural and innovative materials grounds Creative Director Abigail Smiley-Smith’s second season in the dualities of the Tokyo cityscape and mountain, Parisian atelier and wilderness. Maison Kitsuné is curious for what lies beyond the city limits and so finds itself in the wardrobes of irreverent cultural explorers. This collection will also be Maison Kitsuné’s first presentation on the Paris calendar after seven years, reflected in this celebration of new horizons. In both Paris and Tokyo, natural life is complemented by modernity. With sculptors Constantin Brancusi and Isamu Noguchi as starting points, and their varied uses of raw stone, polished brass and wood, the smooth alongside the unformed, Smiley-Smith considered the ways in which the city dweller brings their journey home with them. In particular, she was drawn to the UNESCO Noguchi garden in Paris – the mid-century apartments sit around this retreat in the city, at once zen and a littlewild and unruly.  In Tokyo especially, nature looms over the city, quite literally, with Mount Fuji serving as backdrop, and so it’s no wonder that a large percentage of Japanese peopleconsider themselves hikers. This ability to escape the city at a moment’s notice is woven throughout the collection through a focus on textures – luxuriously fluffy sweaters and bouclé jackets next to chicly crinkled shirts and elegant leather, with wide-legged denim, loose tailoring and cropped jackets to build a silhouette. A polarised mountain print serves as an abstraction of the Maison’s new frontier. Building on the idea of the Maison being a confident sartorial wardrobe, Spring’s focus on country apparel continues. Practical, outsize pockets, corduroy collars and luxurious trim on hunting jackets in khaki and black bring a boxy, structured feel to the collection. The varsity theme also reappears across men’s and women’s clothes, with the Maison’s logo in minimal slate and cream. The house also proposes an elegant city wardrobe. For men and women, a tailored winter coat in double faced wool or sharply cut leather jacket, alongside a sleek belted puffer, are destined for urbanites from Paris to Tokyo. Crinkled shirting in pink and green, fleece tailored pants and cashmere hoodies contribute to a feeling of function and ease imbued with confidence. Maison Kitsuné’s technical know-how is brought to the fore with knitwear. For women, cable and aran knit cardigans in light grey, ribbed turtlenecks in beige and sea foam, and alpaca cropped sweaters give a sense of chic comfort. Speckled knits for men and women in pebble tones, and for men a series of outsize cardigans the colour of a wintersky enhance this marriage of the natural and city-chic.  The spirit of the mountains is prevalent in the functional outerwear. Oversize puffer jackets in black and brown have multiple pockets, drawstring cords and silicon trims. In technical fabrics such as bonded fleece and nylons with a water repellent treatment, they are versatile enough to be worn with tailoring or taken on a hike. Indigo denim channels the Japanese loved of the well-worn, with ghost pockets, raw edges and a heavier wash giving wider legged jeans, a kilt and cropped jacket a much-loved appearance. The technique is seen in woven and jersey too, echoing the idea of clothing created by time and use, in dusty rose and grey tones. Day-to-eveningwear can be worn easily throughout the day, with a loosely tailored jacket and pants, smocked skirts with matching cap-sleeved tops in taupe and slate, and a luxurious 21-gauge rib dress, with sports-inspired seams. For men, the Maison proposes relaxed tailoring with workwear pockets, and shirts with a Japanese pastoral pattern or fox monogram. The vein of experimentation that runs through Maison Kitsuné, from its music label to cafés, comes through in accessories and graphics. The fox goes wandering as an embroidered motif, replete with knitted hat and scarf or autumnal leaves. There are fox shaped leather charms, keyrings that look like tails, and a fox signet ring. In a collaboration with friend of the house, graphic designer Kajsa Stahl, the fox logo collides with a fortune cookie to become the fortune fox, reflecting Maison Kitsuné’s good luck as it reimagines the contemporary brand. Taking inspiration from a delicately folded origami fox head, Maison Kitsuné unveils the new Inaré bag. In black, ocean blue and dark taupe leather with the Maison’s fox logo discreetly embossed, the vulpine new addition to the family follows the success of the Edie. The Edie comes in a new bouclé finish, as well as in luxurious pony. Shoes reflect the breadth of the Maison Kitsuné wardrobe. The Sora runner with its discretely chunky sole in a nostalgic grey version with a speckled white lower. Canvas sneakers reference both French and Japanese heritage, while for women, ankle boots complete the look. For men, the flaneur slip-on has been reissued in luxurious pony. With the fall/winter 2026 collection, Smiley-Smith’s vision for the Maison becomes more nuanced and expansive. Mountain and stream - Fuji and Seine – a complete wardrobe has emerged.

A TASTE OF MALAYSIA WITH A KITSUNÉ TWIST
This Independence Day, Café Kitsuné celebrates the flavours that make home feel like home. From Merdeka Day through Malaysia Day, the seasonal menu takes inspiration from familiar Malaysian favourites, reimagined through the playful lens of Café Kitsuné. Expect nostalgic flavours, unexpected pairings and a little French-Japanese flair all made for sharing, discovering and enjoying at your own pace. Think of the flavours you grew up with: fragrant pandan, rich gula Melaka, creamy coconut, comforting soy cincau and the unmistakable nostalgia of Milo. This season, they come together in new forms across the drinks, pastries and desserts. Start with a sip of Malaysia. The seasonal drinks bring local favourites into the Café Kitsuné cup, from the comforting sweetness of Pandan Gula Melaka Latte to the refreshing Soy Cincau Latte. For something lighter and more tropical, Crème Pandan Coconut brings together creamy coconut and fragrant pandan in a playful combination. And for those who like their coffee with a little more indulgence, the Kitsuné Spanish Latte makes its return as part of the seasonal selection. On the pastry counter, familiar flavours take on new personalities. Flaky croissants meet the nostalgic sweetness of Pandan Kaya Croissant, while the beloved chocolate malt flavour of Milo Cruffin. Savoury favourites also get their moment, with Malaysian-inspired flavours folded into buttery pastry for a distinctly Café Kitsuné take such as the Ketupat Chicken Satay Croissant and Pain Au Muar (Otak-Otak). For dessert, expect tropical notes, creamy textures and plenty of nostalgia — from ondeh-ondeh inspired creations like the Ondeh Swiss Roll and Ondeh Mousse Cake to the classic combination of Coconut Gula Melaka Gelato paired with a Hibiscus Shortbread for a little bite treats on the side. More than just a seasonal menu, this collection is a celebration of the flavours that bring Malaysians together. It is the taste of childhood snacks, afternoon drinks, family gatherings and familiar treats the little things that make Malaysia feel uniquely ours. MAISON KITSUNÉ SS27 IN PARIS FASHION WEEK

MAISON KITSUNÉ SS27 IN PARIS FASHION WEEK
SPRING-SUMMER 2027 SHOW AT PARIS FASHION WEEK Presented on June 27th, 2026, in the gardens of Hôtel de Rohan during Paris Fashion Week, Maison Kitsuné unveils Urban Glide, the third collection by Creative Director Abigail Smiley-Smith.  For Spring-Summer 2027, Maison Kitsuné explores how to move through the city at the height of summer. Inspired by the ways people adapt to heat, light, and dense urban environments, the collection is built around three interconnected ideas: protection, water, and escape. The result is a contemporary summer wardrobe designed to protect, perform, and transition effortlessly between urban and coastal worlds.  The starting point emerged from conversations between Maison Kitsuné co-founder Gildas Loaëc and Abigail Smiley-Smith around the ways Japanese cities navigate increasingly intense summers. In particular, the collection draws inspiration from the protective garments worn by construction workers in Tokyo—lightweight layers designed to shield the body from sun and heat while remaining remarkably breathable. This observation evolved into a broader reflection on comfort, movement, and the relationship between the body and its environment.  Protection becomes both a practical and conceptual theme throughout the collection. Lightweight technical fabrics, breathable constructions, cooling materials, and generous silhouettes create a sense of shelter around the body without restricting movement. References to artists Christo and Do Ho Suh inform this exploration through ideas of wrapping, layering, transparency, and fluidity, influencing garments that blur the boundaries between clothing, architecture, and personal space.  Water serves as a guiding visual and material element across the collection. Reflections, waves, and shifting light inspire prints, jacquards, and textured surfaces, while a palette of luminous blues, ocean navies, mineral greys, sun-faded neutrals, and warm sandy tones evokes the contrast between cool urban shadows and heat-soaked summer landscapes. Gradient washes, bleached effects, and faded treatments further capture the impact of sunlight, time, and movement.  Maritime influences introduce both technical and aesthetic dimensions to the collection. Details inspired by lobster fishing nets, sailcloth, and marine tarpaulins are translated into textures, constructions, and functional design elements. References to surfing and diving apparel bring a performance-driven approach, resulting in pieces such as cooling garments, a heat-reactive windbreaker, and a heat-reactive Triangle Tote that respond directly to environmental conditions. Extending Maison Kitsuné’s Paris-to-Tokyo perspective, the collection also draws inspiration from Desa Kitsuné, the brand's lifestyle destination in Bali. The relaxed rhythm of island life is reinterpreted through an urban lens, creating a wardrobe that balances functionality, comfort, and escapism. Rather than opposing city and nature, Urban Glide explores the fluid transition between the two. This season also introduces a series of collaborations that further enrich the collection's narrative. Japanese artist En Iwamura reimagines Maison Kitsuné's iconic fox as a symbol of movement and transformation. Appearing across ready-to-wear, accessories, and the show's scenography, the character creates a playful dialogue between nature and city, tradition and modernity.  A live choir performance reimagines a selection of iconic electronic tracks through striking vocal arrangements. Drawing on Maison Kitsuné's deep-rooted connection to music and the legacy of our label Kitsuné Musique, the performance offers a surprising reinterpretation of contemporary club culture, transforming familiar sounds into a powerful collective experience.  With Urban Glide, Maison Kitsuné proposes a contemporary summer wardrobe shaped by adaptation and ease, balancing technical innovation and everyday elegance through its distinctive Paris-to-Tokyo lens.
