A TASTE OF MALAYSIA WITH A KITSUNÉ TWIST

Article published at: Sep 5, 2026

This Independence Day, Café Kitsuné celebrates the flavours that make home feel like home.

From Merdeka Day through Malaysia Day, the seasonal menu takes inspiration from familiar Malaysian favourites, reimagined through the playful lens of Café Kitsuné. Expect nostalgic flavours, unexpected pairings and a little French-Japanese flair all made for sharing, discovering and enjoying at your own pace.

Think of the flavours you grew up with: fragrant pandan, rich gula Melaka, creamy coconut, comforting soy cincau and the unmistakable nostalgia of Milo. This season, they come together in new forms across the drinks, pastries and desserts.

Start with a sip of Malaysia.

The seasonal drinks bring local favourites into the Café Kitsuné cup, from the comforting sweetness of Pandan Gula Melaka Latte to the refreshing Soy Cincau Latte. For something lighter and more tropical, Crème Pandan Coconut brings together creamy coconut and fragrant pandan in a playful combination.

And for those who like their coffee with a little more indulgence, the Kitsuné Spanish Latte makes its return as part of the seasonal selection.

On the pastry counter, familiar flavours take on new personalities. Flaky croissants meet the nostalgic sweetness of Pandan Kaya Croissant, while the beloved chocolate malt flavour of Milo Cruffin. Savoury favourites also get their moment, with Malaysian-inspired flavours folded into buttery pastry for a distinctly Café Kitsuné take such as the Ketupat Chicken Satay Croissant and Pain Au Muar (Otak-Otak).

For dessert, expect tropical notes, creamy textures and plenty of nostalgia — from ondeh-ondeh inspired creations like the Ondeh Swiss Roll and Ondeh Mousse Cake to the classic combination of Coconut Gula Melaka Gelato paired with a Hibiscus Shortbread for a little bite treats on the side.

More than just a seasonal menu, this collection is a celebration of the flavours that bring Malaysians together.

It is the taste of childhood snacks, afternoon drinks, family gatherings and familiar treats the little things that make Malaysia feel uniquely ours.

Available at any Café Kitsuné located in Malaysia, while the seasonal menu lasts.
