Rewinding time with the Mother’s Days special, Café Kitsuné welcomed a charming gathering of familiar faces, close friends, and inspiring mothers for an intimate afternoon dedicated to celebrating connection, style, and shared moments.
As the exclusive media invited to the private affair, FirstClasse Malaysia joined a curated guest list comprising fashionable mums, socialites, and familiar digital personalities for an afternoon centred around thoughtful conversations, sweet indulgences, and quality time with family.
Set within Café Kitsuné’s warm and contemporary space, guests were invited to indulge in a thoughtfully curated Mother’s Day High Tea experience celebrating the women who inspire and nurture us every day.
The menu featured the café’s classic:
Top Tier
Black sesame choux
Mini salted dark chocolate bar
Mini blueberry tart
Mini citrus meringue tart
Middle Tier
Coffee roll cake
2 x foxshortbread
Canelé
Bottom Tier

Paired with a choice of artisanal coffee and tea, the afternoon offered a refined yet relaxed moment of escape amidst the city’s pace.
The afternoon unfolded naturally with portrait sessions highlighting both playful candid moments and elegant editorial-style shots. Mothers and daughters arrived dressed in selected looks from Maison Kitsuné, bringing a subtle blend of Parisian sophistication and effortless charm to the occasion.
Beyond the mother-daughter duos, several guests attended with their close circle of friends — a reminder that Mother’s Day can also be about celebrating friendship, support systems, and the women who uplift one another through every stage of life.

This Independence Day, Café Kitsuné celebrates the flavours that make home feel like home.
From Merdeka Day through Malaysia Day, the seasonal menu takes inspiration from familiar Malaysian favourites, reimagined through the playful lens of Café Kitsuné. Expect nostalgic flavours, unexpected pairings and a little French-Japanese flair all made for sharing, discovering and enjoying at your own pace.
Think of the flavours you grew up with: fragrant pandan, rich gula Melaka, creamy coconut, comforting soy cincau and the unmistakable nostalgia of Milo. This season, they come together in new forms across the drinks, pastries and desserts.
Start with a sip of Malaysia.
The seasonal drinks bring local favourites into the Café Kitsuné cup, from the comforting sweetness of Pandan Gula Melaka Latte to the refreshing Soy Cincau Latte. For something lighter and more tropical, Crème Pandan Coconut brings together creamy coconut and fragrant pandan in a playful combination.
And for those who like their coffee with a little more indulgence, the Kitsuné Spanish Latte makes its return as part of the seasonal selection.
On the pastry counter, familiar flavours take on new personalities. Flaky croissants meet the nostalgic sweetness of Pandan Kaya Croissant, while the beloved chocolate malt flavour of Milo Cruffin. Savoury favourites also get their moment, with Malaysian-inspired flavours folded into buttery pastry for a distinctly Café Kitsuné take such as the Ketupat Chicken Satay Croissant and Pain Au Muar (Otak-Otak).
For dessert, expect tropical notes, creamy textures and plenty of nostalgia — from ondeh-ondeh inspired creations like the Ondeh Swiss Roll and Ondeh Mousse Cake to the classic combination of Coconut Gula Melaka Gelato paired with a Hibiscus Shortbread for a little bite treats on the side.
More than just a seasonal menu, this collection is a celebration of the flavours that bring Malaysians together.
It is the taste of childhood snacks, afternoon drinks, family gatherings and familiar treats the little things that make Malaysia feel uniquely ours.
Available at any Café Kitsuné located in Malaysia, while the seasonal menu lasts.
SPRING-SUMMER 2027 SHOW AT PARIS FASHION WEEK
Presented on June 27th, 2026, in the gardens of Hôtel de Rohan during Paris Fashion Week, Maison Kitsuné unveils Urban Glide, the third collection by Creative Director Abigail Smiley-Smith.
For Spring-Summer 2027, Maison Kitsuné explores how to move through the city at the height of summer. Inspired by the ways people adapt to heat, light, and dense urban environments, the collection is built around three interconnected ideas: protection, water, and escape. The result is a contemporary summer wardrobe designed to protect, perform, and transition effortlessly between urban and coastal worlds.
The starting point emerged from conversations between Maison Kitsuné co-founder Gildas Loaëc and Abigail Smiley-Smith around the ways Japanese cities navigate increasingly intense summers. In particular, the collection draws inspiration from the protective garments worn by construction workers in Tokyo—lightweight layers designed to shield the body from sun and heat while remaining remarkably breathable. This observation evolved into a broader reflection on comfort, movement, and the relationship between the body and its environment.
Protection becomes both a practical and conceptual theme throughout the collection. Lightweight technical fabrics, breathable constructions, cooling materials, and generous silhouettes create a sense of shelter around the body without restricting movement. References to artists Christo and Do Ho Suh inform this exploration through ideas of wrapping, layering, transparency, and fluidity, influencing garments that blur the boundaries between clothing, architecture, and personal space.
Water serves as a guiding visual and material element across the collection. Reflections, waves, and shifting light inspire prints, jacquards, and textured surfaces, while a palette of luminous blues, ocean navies, mineral greys, sun-faded neutrals, and warm sandy tones evokes the contrast between cool urban shadows and heat-soaked summer landscapes. Gradient washes, bleached effects, and faded treatments further capture the impact of sunlight, time, and movement.
Maritime influences introduce both technical and aesthetic dimensions to the collection. Details inspired by lobster fishing nets, sailcloth, and marine tarpaulins are translated into textures, constructions, and functional design elements. References to surfing and diving apparel bring a performance-driven approach, resulting in pieces such as cooling garments, a heat-reactive windbreaker, and a heat-reactive Triangle Tote that respond directly to environmental conditions. Extending Maison Kitsuné’s Paris-to-Tokyo perspective, the collection also draws inspiration from Desa Kitsuné, the brand's lifestyle destination in Bali. The relaxed rhythm of island life is reinterpreted through an urban lens, creating a wardrobe that balances functionality, comfort, and escapism. Rather than opposing city and nature, Urban Glide explores the fluid transition between the two.
This season also introduces a series of collaborations that further enrich the collection's narrative. Japanese artist En Iwamura reimagines Maison Kitsuné's iconic fox as a symbol of movement and transformation. Appearing across ready-to-wear, accessories, and the show's scenography, the character creates a playful dialogue between nature and city, tradition and modernity.
A live choir performance reimagines a selection of iconic electronic tracks through striking vocal arrangements. Drawing on Maison Kitsuné's deep-rooted connection to music and the legacy of our label Kitsuné Musique, the performance offers a surprising reinterpretation of contemporary club culture, transforming familiar sounds into a powerful collective experience.
With Urban Glide, Maison Kitsuné proposes a contemporary summer wardrobe shaped by adaptation and ease, balancing technical innovation and everyday elegance through its distinctive Paris-to-Tokyo lens.
